Storage
Overheating is one of the major issues that can increase machine downtime. Hence, storage is a problem that should be considered by every machine owner. FridayParts would like to recommend you store your equipment under shade or somewhere out of direct sunlight. If the equipment cannot avoid sun exposure, try to reduce the operation time as much as possible during peak daylight hours of sun exposure (usually from 12 am to 3 pm).
Air Conditioning
Based on the statistics from our customers’ feedback and purchases, we found that a lot of equipment operators do not run air conditioning properly, which makes them spend more money and time replacing air conditioning components. To extend the lifetime of the components, operators should reduce unnecessary load on them. The easiest way is to keep equipment doors and windows closed during the air conditioning running.

Water Temperature
Always pay attention to the water temperature gauge at any time when working in high-temperature weather. Once it is found the temperature is high, do not turn off your equipment immediately. Allow the machine to cool down for a few more minutes before you turn the key.
Prevent oil deterioration
The oil quality directly affects the engine performance. Oil will become thinner by heat and it is easier to get deteriorate than usual. Therefore, it is significant to check the oil quality daily.
Don’t forget batteries
The battery must always maintain sufficient power. If the excavator does not work for a long time during the hot season, the battery needs to be removed. Keep the battery clean and store it in a dry, ventilated place. Meanwhile, do not forget to charge it every 15-20 days so it can be used properly in the future.
Take good care of yourself
Last but not least, the operators are easy to get tired in hot weather due to physical exertion. Get enough rest, drink fluids, and protect yourself well in the summer.
